Davis MacDonald Novels

THE HILL is his first work introducing The Judge, and examines the duty of a teacher to his student, and how far love reaches in the face of personal risk, inside a mystery novel set on the Palos Verdes Peninsula.

The second book in the series, THE ISLAND, carries on the saga of the Judge and Katy, his new squeeze, on the island of Catalina. It examines the conflicts in a small town among factions that can’t get along, until a greater danger faces everyone, set inside a murder mystery novel.

The third book in the series, SILICON BEACH, takes place after an attack on Santa Monica Beach that involves The Judge, and delves heavily into the Homeless issue in American, again set inside the mystery novel format.

In his fourth addition to the series, THE BAY, the Judge becomes embroiled in another mystery, this time involving the FBI – and suddenly he finds himself under the watchful eye of the feds as a murder suspect. This book examines the Muslim questions raised in the US, and takes a close look at both the Muslim risk, and discrimination against Muslims in the country.

The fifth book, CABO, is set in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and examines the Mexican human trafficking trade, and the perpetual violence in Mexico, set inside a murder mystery novel.

All books are available on Amazon in paperback or eBook formats, and in audiobook as well.

About Davis MacDonald

He grew up in Southern California and writes of places about which he has intimate knowledge. A member of the National Association of Independent Writers and Editors, (NAIWE), his career has spanned Law Professor, Bar Association Chair, Investment Banker and Lawyer. He currently provides legal representation to clients throughout the United States and offshore. Many of the colorful characters in his novels are drawn from his personal experience.

Davis MacDonald continues to write stories of intrigue, desire, and mystery. Look for upcoming works by him in your local bookstore and on Amazon.

While the stories he writes are fiction, they have a firm basis in reality. The cliffs of Palos Verdes have long drawn those with an eye for suicide (and occasionally murder). And the author does indeed have a boisterous and much loved golden retriever with a nose for getting into trouble. Davis is a member of a prestigious yacht club in Catalina, a part time resident of Avalon, his yacht in Marina Del Rey, and Balboa. He weaves a tale of intrigue and murder across the posh waterholes and breathtaking views of various locations in sunny Southern California and elsewhere.
